The Department of Urban and Regional Planning (URP), BUET warmly welcomed the new 25’batch students in an orientation program held on 28 June 2026. The program was anchored by Ms. Meher Afjun Faria. An overview of the department’s vision, mission, and academic curriculum, setting the stage for the students’ journey ahead was presented by Mr. Md Waliullah. The most young faculty members: Ms. Nur-E-Faeeza-Ankhi, Mr. Ahmed Farwa Mahraf Siddique and Mr. Tasirul Hasan distributed flowers and special gifts to the new students on behalf of the department. The students were introduced to the department’s esteemed faculty members and supporting staff. The program concluded with inspiring speeches from Professor Meher Nigar Neema, Head of the department. At last, there was arrangement for refreshment from the department.
