Two post-graduate students, Ms. Kaniz Jahan and Mr. Jubaer Al Samin, from the department of Urban and Regional Planning (URP), have been awarded the prestigious National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship for the fiscal year 2025-2026 for their research proposals. The fellowship, administered by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Bangladesh, has been awarded in the Physical Science group. Ms. Kaniz Jahan is pursuing a research on "Assessment of Environmental Carrying Capacity of Dhaka Metropolitan Region (DMR) Using CA-ANN Model and Its Alignment with the Detailed Area Plan (DAP) 2022-35”, and Mr. Jubaer Al Samin is pursuing a research on "A Study on Evaluating the Impact of Green and Blue Infrastructure Implementation on Urban Thermal Environment in Dhaka Metropolitan Region of DAP 2022-2035 using Machine Learning Techniques”. We extend our wholehearted congratulations to them for securing the prestigious award.
