Team "Ecoplanners" from BUET URP Batch 21 receives the "Most Loved Project" award

We are delighted to share that Team Ecoplanners from BUET URP Batch 21 has received the "Most Loved Project" award at "BioCity: Youth for Urban Wetland Revival" competition. WaterAid Bangladesh organized this youth idea competition to address the challenge of declining biodiversity in the urban realm, specifically the wetlands. Out of over 140 competing teams, Team Ecoplanners secured a place in the top 11 finalists, and their project was awarded as one of the "Most Loved Projects." Their project focused on bringing new life to the IPH Pond in Mohakhali, Dhaka. They designed a nature-based solution—using bioremediation, urban farming, floating islands, bioswales, vendor spaces, and walking trails to restore the pond, support wildlife, and make the space more useful for people. We congratulate Team Ecoplanners on this remarkable achievement and wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
