Seminar on “Political Economy of Urban Green Spaces of Dhaka City”

Department of Urban and Regional Planning, BUET, shared the findings of research titled “Political Economy of Urban Green Spaces of Dhaka City” in a seminar on 20 March 2023 at Council Building, BUET. Professor Dr. Afsana Haque and Professor Dr. Asif-uz-Zaman Khan jointly presented the study findings on behalf of a five-member team. The study was carried out with a research grant awarded by the Community Partnerships to Strengthen Sustainable Development (COMPASS) program of the US Forest Service International Programs. The Chief Guest of the program was 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐓𝐚𝐣𝐮𝐥 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦, 𝐌𝐏, 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, GoB. It was chaired by Professor Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, BUET. Dr. Muhammad N. Khan, Director, Economic Growth Office, USAID Bangladesh, and Professor Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, BUET, addressed the audience as the Special and Honorable Guests, respectively.
