Online training on "Geographic Information System (GIS) and AutoCAD“ for DNCC

Department of Urban and Regional Planning (URP), BUET offered a month-long, online training on 𝑮𝒆𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒊𝒄 𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎 (𝑮𝑰𝑺) 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒐𝑪𝑨𝑫 from the 14 August 2021 for engineers, planners, and other officials of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC). It ended with an online certificate awarding ceremony held on 11 September 2021. Based on an online assessment thirty-six (36) successful participants were awarded certificates. 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐍𝐂𝐂, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐀𝐭𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐥 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦 was present as the Chief Guest in the closing session, chaired by Professor Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, honorable Vice-Chancellor, BUET. Mr. Md. Selim Reza, CEO, DNCC and Mr. Amirul Islam, Chief Engineer, DNCC also addressed in the event as guests of honor. Professor Dr. Md. Musleh Uddin Hasan, Head, Department of URP, BUET and Professor Dr. Afsana Haque, training coordinator from the department also graced the session. Trainers including Ms. Paromita Shome, Ms. Sadia Afroj, and Mr. Niaz Mahmud Zafri, were present in the occasion.
